About BRIDGE
Built to give back to the trade.
BRIDGE connects experienced Gas Safe engineers with the next generation of learners, so skills get passed on, and good people don't leave the trade for want of a start.
Why we exist
Every year, people finish their classroom gas training and then hit a wall: no employer will take them on without experience, and they can't get experience without an employer. At the same time, experienced engineers are retiring and taking decades of knowledge with them.
BRIDGE was built to close that gap: the bridge between training and a real career in the trade. We connect learners coming through accredited training centres with Gas Safe-registered mentors who can take them out on real jobs, and we handle the matching, the vetting and the payments so the mentor can just get on with mentoring.
What we are, and what we're not
BRIDGE is an app, not a gas business. We don't carry out gas work, we don't hold a Gas Safe registration, and we don't employ engineers or learners.
Every mentor works under their own Gas Safe registration and their own insurance, exactly as they do today. We simply connect them with learners and training centres, and make sure everyone gets paid properly and on time.
Giving back
We're in this to give back to a trade that gives so much to everyone else. Mentors earn for work they're already doing, learners get the on-the-job hours they need to qualify, and the trade keeps its standards and its people. That's the whole point.
Starting with gas, then the rest of the trade
We're starting where the need is sharpest: gas. But the same gap exists right across the trades, so our plan is to open BRIDGE up to others (electrical, plumbing, heating and renewables, and beyond), phase by phase over the coming years, once we've got it right for gas.
One trade at a time, done properly.
Who runs BRIDGE
BRIDGE is built and operated by Arcane Automations Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales.
