Cookies policy · BRIDGE

What we store on your device.

1. About this policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar local-storage technologies that BRIDGE uses on bridgewire.co.uk and its subdomains. BRIDGE is operated by Arcane Automations Ltd, registered in England and Wales. For our broader privacy practices, see the Privacy Policy.

2. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Cookies let a site remember you between page loads (so that you stay signed in, for example) and remember your preferences. We also use localStorage, a related browser storage mechanism, for some preferences.

3. Cookies we use

BRIDGE uses only strictly necessary cookies and a small number of functional preference signals. We do not run advertising cookies and we do not run third-party analytics today.

NamePurposeTypeLifetime
authjs.session-tokenKeeps you signed in. Issued by NextAuth and signed as a JWT. Set HttpOnly and Secure.Strictly necessary24 hours
pending_signup_roleTransient marker set immediately before a Google OAuth redirect, to remember which role you intended to register as (learner, mentor, training centre). Cleared after sign in.Strictly necessary~10 minutes
themeRemembers your light / dark / system theme preference. Stored in localStorage; no personal data.FunctionalUntil you change it
cookie_consentRecords your choice on the cookie banner so we don’t ask again. Set only after you respond to the banner.Strictly necessary12 months

4. Cookies set by third parties

Some pages embed services that may set their own cookies on your device. We do not control these and they are governed by the providers’ own policies.

  • Stripe — when you check out, Stripe’s payment forms (hosted on stripe.com / js.stripe.com) set fraud prevention cookies. See the Stripe Cookies Policy.
  • Google — if you click “Sign in with Google”, Google sets authentication cookies on its own domains. See Google Cookies.

5. Analytics and advertising

BRIDGE does not currently use Google Analytics, PostHog, Mixpanel, Plausible, Sentry, or any other third-party analytics or session-replay product, and does not run advertising cookies. If we add any non-essential analytics in the future we will update this policy and will only enable them after you give consent through the cookie banner.

6. Your choices

Strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off — without them the site cannot keep you signed in. You can:

  • change your theme preference at any time using the toggle in the top navigation;
  • change or revoke your cookie consent at any time by clearing site data in your browser, which will re-show the banner;
  • block or delete cookies entirely through your browser settings (note that this will sign you out and may break parts of the site);
  • opt out of SMS notifications via your profile settings (this is a separate consent from cookies; SMS does not use cookies).

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when we add or remove cookies or related technologies. The “last updated” date at the top of this page indicates the current version.
